He was born May 1, 1923 in Lawrence County, Ohio son of the late Clarence and Iva Jane Harmon Murdock.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Murdock; son Larry Joe Murdock and sister Eileen Cobb.He attended Trinity Church of God. He retired from ACF Industries and was a World War II Navy Veteran.He is survived by one son Robert (Julia) Murdock of Lavalette, WV; two daughters Deborah (James) Collins of Holly Springs, NC and Deirdre (Marvin) Reynolds of Lavalette, WV; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother Fred (Vickie) Murdock of Huntington, WV; sister Carol Richardson of Huntington, WV; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, WV.
